- Mouse provider implementation
On linux systems, the mouse provider can be annoying when used with anothermultitouch provider (hidinput or mtdev). The Mouse can conflict with them: asingle touch can generate one event from the mouse provider and anotherfrom the multitouch provider.
You can now selectively control whether a click initiated as described above will emulate multi-touch. If the touch has been initiated in the above manner (e.g. Right mouse button), a multitouchsim value will be added to the touch’s profile, and a multitouchsim property will be added to the touch. By default, multitouchsim is True and multitouch will be emulated for that touch.
- If you want to use them for other purposes, you can disable this behavior by activating the 'disablemultitouch' token:: input mouse = mouse, disablemultitouch. Versionchanged:: 1.9.0 You can now selectively control whether a click initiated as described above will emulate multi-touch.
- Multi-touch touchscreen gestures enable predefined motions to interact with the device and software. An increasing number of devices like smartphones, tablet computers, laptops or desktop computers have functions that are triggered by multi-touch gestures. Popular culture Before 2007. Years before it was a viable consumer product, popular culture portrayed potential uses of multi-touch.

To avoid this behavior, you can activate the “disable_on_activity” token inthe mouse configuration. Then, if any touches are created by anotherprovider, the mouse event will be discarded. Add this to your configuration:
Using multitouch interaction with the mouse¶

then multitouch_sim defaults to False. In that case, if multitouch_simis set to True before the mouse is released (e.g. in on_touch_down/move), thetouch will simulate a multi-touch event. For example:
